  Marine Mammals are one of this artists favorite subjects, and local seals are challenging to capture in shell. Seals long important to Wampanoag people as inspiration for stories and art, sustenance and clothing; they became rare due to historic fur trade and over fishing but  have increased again in Massachusetts waters.
